Shapefiles play two roles at Cubit: 1. For complex project areas, you can e-mail us a shapefile and we'll load it into the system. 2. Cubit generates shapefiles with Census geographies for every project. Give this to your GIS guru to integrate into your custom maps.
A reference map is a draft map that displays your project area and labeled Census geographies that are in your project area.

What is a Data Report?
Data Reports are cut-and-paste ready data, text and charts that describe your project area. Check out a sample Socio-Ec Data Report or Housing and Regional Economic Data Report
What is a Project?
A Project is a project area you draw on a Cubit interactive map. Check out the reference map associated with the Socio-Ec Data Report for an example of a Project.
Pay Per Report Option (aka "what to do if you have to charge the price of a report to a project for billing purposes.")
If you have to charge the price of a Cubit report to a specific project so that your client will reimburse you the cost of the report, sign up for a Free Account and create your project (see "Free Account", above). The cost for a single report is $249. For example, the Socio-Ec Data Report including data, reference map, Word document, and shapefile support costs $249.
Do I have to sign a long term contract with a subscription?
No. Cubit is a pay-as-you-go service. There are no long term contracts. If you cancel after the 1st day of the month, you’ll be billed for the current month, but you won’t be billed again.
If I buy 1 Cubit report and then my project alternative changes, what happens?
You could either buy another Cubit Report for $249, or sign up for a Subscription so that you can get as many reports as you need.
What types of payment do you accept?
Currently, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We do not accept purchase orders.
What happens if I’m not 100% happy with my Cubit Report?
All Cubit reports come with a 100% Money Back Guarantee. If you’re not happy with your report for any reason, contact us and let us know why. We’ll do our best to address your concerns. But if you’re still not happy, we’ll gladly refund your purchase.
